The demands on baby-monitoring devices are high. Especially for babies and small children, the exposure to electrosmog should be kept as low as possible and the devices should be highly dependable. Health compatibility is therefore one of the most important criteria for the purchase of baby-monitoring devices. The Vivanco Babyfon BM 440 ECO Plus produces especially low levels of radiation, and has therefore been awarded the «Blue Angel» environmental protection mark.

By means of special shielding of the device, the mains unit and the cable, Vivanco has been able to reduce the electrical and magnetic radiation from the Babyfon BM 440 ECO Plus to zero at a distance of 30 cm. This makes the Vivanco baby-monitor the first in the world to be free from electrical and magnetic fields.

As well as this, in comparison with the BM400, the ÖKO-TEST test winner in 2002, the Babyfon 440 ECO Plus has reduced the electromagnetic fields from the radio transmissions over a range of 75 metres by approximately 95%. Essential functions easy to use
In the development of the new generation of baby-monitors, Vivanco has concentrated on the essential functions and ease of use without tedious pre-adjustments.
In addition to the reduced electro-smog, the Babyfon BM440 ECO Plus has a digital pilot frequency to ensure interference-free reception. This ensures that the parents’ unit only receives the signals from the baby unit and is not activated by external signals. The sound level at which the baby monitor transmits a signal is regulated by means of an integrated sensitivity control.

An alarm function signalises a low battery level. Both the parents’ and the baby unit are equipped with a battery charging function. The device is supplied with two mains units and a battery pack for the receiver.
