Shielding fabrics are made in two ways: either with a metal wire spun into the core of the wire, or with a metal layer on the outside. The latter can be grounded. The fabrics are used for curtains and drapes, canopies, bedding and clothing. The fabrics with silver are comfortable and well shielding. Steel is cheaper and more solid, but not so comfortable to have right on the body. The degree of protection (and the price) depends on the type and amount of metal.
